This system works ok for a while, but we had it break twice in about a year. The first time, we sent it back to the manufacturer for repair(under warranty). Now, it won’t recognize DVDs. If it had enough inputs, I could work around the problem. Unfortunately, it has the bare minimum. I only gave it two stars because it did actually work for a while and when it did, it was pretty good. |

Set up was tedious and the back speakers need their own stands. But it is great value for the money. |

I’m sorry I bought this system – it’s too complicated, the Mp3 player doesn’t work, and I disconnected the surround sound because noise coming from all over was distracting – I’m accustomed to sound coming from near the picture in front of me – a gun shot sound behind me is startling.
The Sony support people were not able to help me when I called about not being able to play the iPod on the system. And I called 5 times.
So I presently do not use the radio, because the channels are difficult to navigate, nor do I use the Mp3 on this nor the surround sound.
Of course, I’m sorry I bought it – want mine? |

I had wireless speakers from a different company before “Audio Unlimited Wireless Speakers with Remote (SPK-VELO-001)”. They did noises in the middle of the night so I had to turn them always off. Also walking around the apartment the sometimes lost the signal.
So I decided to try theses speakers and I really liked them. The sound is good enough and clear and stable. I can keep the speakers turned on in the night.
There are a couple things I don’t like: The power cables are not very long. If you don’t want to place the speakers close to a power outlet you might have a problem unless you use an thick ugly extension cord which was not an option for me. I wanted to have one speaker in the bathroom and the power cable needed to get under-need the door because the power outlet is outside the bathroom.
The other thing is you can only have running 4 remote speakers + the base which has speakers as well. If you have a mansion that might be a problem. For me in my one bed room apartment it’s just perfect.
I would buy the speakers again. |

I have done a lot of research and comparisons before I purchased my home theater system. Because I already had a 50″ Panasonic Plasma screen, I bought this for the Viera Link feature so I could sync the remotes; I love how easy this was. The whole set-up of the system was easy. For the money, you can’t buy anything better with an amazing sound quality. |

Gone are the days when you had to set up a complicated wiring system consisting of a number of wires for your hi-fi stereo system. Along with its obvious limitations, it also gave a disorderly appearance to the room.
Now, just imagine the comfort of not having to deal with long, messy wires every time you are fiddling with the sound system for some reason or the other. The new age wireless surround sound system eliminates the need of too many wires on the speaker system and this is just one of its main benefits.
Wireless surround sound system is ideal for small rooms which are already cramped and cannot afford innumerable wires taking up precious space. They are perfect for outdoor use as well.
For diehard audiophiles, these surround sound systems have other major benefits like really enhancing the experience of computer gaming, movie watching or listening to music. The surround sound brings the action home like nothing else. With this type of system, every sound byte is enhanced and sounds which were previously incomprehensible or unheard can be heard clearly.
The clarity of the sound is so strong that the viewer, for instance, while watching a movie, can hear the sound from exactly the same direction that the actor hears it. This really makes the viewer a part of the movie and has to be experienced to really appreciate it.
Music lovers are in for a treat with the surround sound system as it brings out every note of the melody with astounding clarity. It is as good as sitting in the front row of a concert minus the crowd.
As for computer gaming buffs, the wireless system enables them to get in the thick of the action of whichever game they are playing as they can hear any distant sounds, say, that of hoof beats or motorcars or even the villain sneaking up to them. This will make the game more realistic and if it is competitive gaming will make it more exciting.
For freedom from a tangled mess of wires and superior sound, the benefits of a wireless surround sound system are tremendous.

Wireless surround sound system is the latest kid on the block. Riding the wave of the newest technology, this system has revolutionized the home theater scene. A lot of homeowners may question the wisdom of spending extra on a wireless sound system when the old speakers are doing just fine but these wireless speakers undoubtedly, have numerous advantages over regular speakers.
Take a look at your old home entertainment system; a clutter of wires is sure to be peeping out or trying to be valiantly hidden behind the curtains or under the carpet. In any home entertainment system, the most difficult part is getting the wiring of the speakers right. All the speakers have to be wired together and the rear speakers prove to be the most cumbersome ones.
The rear ones have to be put right at the back of the room while the TV is in the front, so, you can visualize the length of the cable required. The long length needs to be concealed and if not done properly, well; you will be the first to trip over the nuisance!! And, to top it all, you would have spent a considerable amount of time to install those speakers.
Now, perhaps, the cost-conscious consumer will be more amenable to the advantages of wireless surround sound systems. The wireless ones can be set up just about anywhere in your entire house or even used as wireless outdoor speakers. The need for wall-to-wall cable set up is eliminated and you do not even require the services of a handyman. All that needs to be done is concealing the transmitter and putting the speakers in the right positions.
Closet bathroom singers can rejoice; with wireless speakers, even if your favorite song is playing in your den, you can sing along with it all the way inside the bathroom too. As for party-givers; make your party the most rollicking one with the wireless surround sound system as the whole house reverberates to music! Now, aren’t all these advantages tempting enough for you to switch over to the wireless sound system?!
